Industry 4.0 for manufacturing
The arise of "Industry 4.0" technologies have led to a dramatic change in the organization and the tools available for production. The new paradigms linked to "Industry 4.0" enabling technologies have supported the growth of a new area of reasearch, where the competences on production technologies, organization and analysis are mized together with the most actual ICT technologies. This has led to the developement of integrated solutions that merged together a deeper understanding and control of the process thanks to real-time data collection and analysis directly from the manufacturing process. Example of projects carried out by MTRL on this topic are BeInCPPS and FACTS4WORKERS, both H2020.
