Gianni Campatelli is a Full Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence. He earned his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 and subsequently completed his PhD in Machine Design and Manufacturing in 2004. His primary research interests include: Additive Manufacturing, with a specific focus on Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM); Control and optimization of machining processes; Industry 4.0 solutions. He has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international research projects (including H2020, FP7, ERA-NET, PRIN, and FIRB) and has led various industrial research collaborations. He is the author of approximately 170 scientific papers, the majority of which are indexed in the Scopus database.

Affiliations: Italian Association of Mechanical Technology, Italian Academy of Six Sigma, Machine Tool Technology Research Foundation. Up to now he has published over 60 scientific papers at conferences and in journals.
