The recent research activities carried out by the Methods and Techniques for Innovation (M2I) group have led to the development of methodological tools for business process re-engineering and for defining product characteristics based on the value perceived by users. Thanks to the research experience gained over the years in knowledge-management methodologies, the laboratory has developed methods and tools for retrieving and analyzing technical information from scientific and patent databases. Finally, the research activities in the field of TRIZ Theory have led to the development of methodological and software tools capable of supporting the analysis phase of a technical problem and the systematic, well-reasoned definition of an innovative solution.
