The OE-STAR Research Group (Operational Excellence – Systems, Technology, Analysis & Research) was established within the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence with the aim of promoting innovation and scientific research in the field of Operational Excellence. The mission of the group is to develop and apply advanced methodologies for the optimization of industrial processes, the management of logistics systems, and the improvement of business performance. Through an integrated approach that combines systems analysis, emerging technologies, and rigorous research, OE-STAR is committed to developing methods that support organizations in achieving operational excellence, reducing waste, and maximizing value. The group’s research activities focus on the critical analysis of production and decision-making processes, leveraging quantitative and qualitative tools to drive change and sustainable innovation in complex industrial contexts.
