From February 2023 is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence, and a member of the Manufacturing Technologies Research Laboratory (MTRL). In 2019, received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering with praise and distinction from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He has a master's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with a six-month international exchange at the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. He also holds a bachelor's degree (5-year degree) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Centre for Technological Education of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Works mainly with solid state welding processes and the Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) process from the metallurgical, microstructural, mechanical properties, and process optimisation points of view.
