Dr. Niccolò Grossi is Associate Professor at Manufacturing Technologies Research Lab. in the Department of Industrial Engineering of Firenze. He took his master’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2011. Then he pursed his PhD, graduating in April 2014, during his PhD studies, he was a visiting student at the Manufacturing Automation Laboratory at University of British Columbia, supervised by Prof Yusuf Altintas. His main research interests are: Machining processes, Chatter vibrations, FE modelling, Experimental Modal Analysis, Process simulation, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing. He has been involved in several national (funded within PRIN 2022, POR FESR, PNRR Ecosystem and PE) and international research projects (funded within Horizon2020, FP7 programs) as well as research activities funded by private companies. He is author of more than 60 scientific papers.
