LINEA Lab
The LINEA Laboratory is located in the premise of DIEF in Calenzano, and it run by the ARES research group; The laboratory hosts a variety of experimental facilities, including:
- Multiple test benches for testing and development of internal combustion engines
- static engine test bench, 110 kW- 13000 rpm
- static engine test bench, 30kW – 13000 rpm
- dynamic engine test bench, 80 kW – 4000rpm
- Centrifugal compressor test rig
- 13500 45 kW - 13500 rpm
- closed or open loop configuration
- innovative measurement systems
- Electrolyzer test rig
- up to 400 kW - endurance tests allowed
- dedicated hydrogen-safe area
- Acoustic/active noise test rig
- Flow test rig
- Small wind tunnel for sensor calibration
- Mechanical workshop
The laboratory hosts dedicated areas for joint research programs with industrial partners and is conceived with a versatile and flexible structure that makes it prone to host a variety of research activities
